50L Friday Must Haves!

I really appreciate when blogs post all of the items for the weekly sales, but … well I only end up going to one or two. Call me crazy but even if its just 50L I don’t see a reason to clutter my inventory up with things I’ll never use! So this week I wanted to share two items I LOVE from the Friday sales!

The Hair: called Sugar Hiccup Redo it’s featured at Lamb in two colors (shown in Twix). Not sure if you’d want it? Grab the demo for 1L first!

The Eye Makeup: from Kyoot -  it is their Autumn Feline Makeup Pack and has 10 different shades! No lashes included, so you’ll have to do that on you’re own. I’ve not added any here so you can see exactly how it looks on. Oh, and I’m wearing the Aubergine version.

Paper Couture has just released their new collection. And I admit, I’m not a huge fan of a lot of it but the few pieces I did get I really like.  I’ve always wanted a necklace like this in SL, and Paper Couture had two like it! Not sure if you could miss the huge ring on my finger either. Love the statement jewelry! Their new collection is a must see!

Blog Meets Shadows

I’ve been contemplating for some time whether or not I should use shadows in my blogging. But with the amount of photoshop work that was would have gone into it… I had decided against it. However! Recently Strawberry Singh did an amazing set of tutorials featuring shadows and I just had to give them another shot.

Let me start by saying, I love my ATI graphics card… I’m an ATI girl, always have been. So the lack of support for them in Second Life can be a bit frustrating. That was until I gave Kirsten’s viewer a (second) try! As you can see from the photos below shadows DO work! Both have no processing past a simple crop. I recommend jumping over to Strawberry’s blog and checking out her tutorial section, it is very generous! And while you’re at it check out her blog on WindLight settings. I started out on hers and then changed from there to suit my needs.

*Muism* Messenger Bag = Love

I have this obsession with bags in Real Life and recently it has crossed over into my Second Life. But there’s one problem… I have a few huge pet peeves. I hate when straps sit weird on my shoulder, and when the bag flys around as I walk… I simply can’t wear it.

Luckily! Muism’s messenger bags are here to save the day! I feel like I haven’t heard a lot out of them recently, so between this and their new male skin.. I’m stoked! Notice in the photo above how the strap fits perfectly onto my shoulder? Yeah, amazing… I know. Sure, the tip of my thumb disappears into the bag but THAT I can live with. Not to mention the bag can pretty much fit any outfit you throw at it. That’s my other (minor) pet peeve.. a lot of the cute bags I’ve seen recently have been made out of a canvas-like material. Which is great – but sometimes I need something a little more.

No Valley Low Enough

Short post along with my apologies for not posting more often lately. Without going into too much awful detail… let’s just say after breaking up with my partner I found out he was not really who he said he was. That’s a nice way of saying that he was an alt, and a female in real life. Which I wouldn’t have minded, but hey… ya don’t hafta lie. (And yes, my own fault for not speaking with them on voice, shuddaup already)

In any case, I’ve been trying to cheer myself up with lots of shopping! But my normal things just haven’t been doing it for me.. so something new for today! I love these creepy “Rigor Mortis” eyes from Repulse .. love love, I’ve not wanted to take them off. My new elfy ears are also peeking out, keep an eye out for a more in depth blog about them – But right now I’m enjoying my new hair from Truth too much to take it off!

SLife Changing!

Technically I wouldn’t consider this to be a styling post. But if you’re curious as to what I’m wearing in the photos below, the credits will be alllllll the way at the bottom. The focus of today’s blog is a tool shown to me by fellow blogger, KawaiiNicole.  And it really is SLife changing!

Have you ever wanted to take a quick snapshot but hate spending the 10L? Ever wanted to only capture a small portion of your screen? Maybe just a photo or a funny phrase? Look no further! Gyazo is here to save you!

Here’s a shot of what it will look like when you actually go to use it:

Oops! Yes, sometimes Gyazo DOES fail.. and at the worst times. But it uploads more often than not and is definitely worth looking into. I use it it at least at least once a day to show something off in Plurk!

I hope I’ve intrigued you enough to try this out! Do I know how long these links last? No! Do I know if they somehow show info about your system and where you are? No! So, just as I say I love this product… with anything that you download for free online you use it at your own risk. Will I continue to use and love gyazo? Oh yes!

Lazy Day Out

Oh Dutch Touch, I love you

So lets talk about the outfit… I love love love these jean capris! For the longest time I was looking for a good pair and finally found them at G Field! To be honest, I probably would NOT have noticed them but a friend had recommended me. The basic fatpack includes five different shades but includes only one set of cuffs. Why? This is the best part – they’ve made the cuffs texture change. I LOVE this feature.. For people like me that appreciate a nice organized inventory.. this was so nice. No searching for the matching cuff with these!

I’m also sporting the Coastal tank from Surf Couture. Okay – I have to be honest… usually I hate this style of tank with the long armpit. It reminds me of a sweaty plumber for some reason. But this! This I can wear, and I love! It’s a great take on the style. Take a peek below for a closeup:
